Call for Submissions | Cash Prize

SMCC is seeking submissions for artwork to enhance the new Advising Cafe in the Student Center. Three preliminary designs will be selected and artists given $50 as a stipend to create a complete proposal. One final design will be selected for installation, with the artist receiving $200 upon completion of the artwork over the summer of 2011.

Submissions are due on April 1st. Submit all finished designs via inter-campus mail Kathleen Doan or email to kdoan@smccme.edu or
Submissions are due midnight on April 1st.

Details:
- Only current SMCC students are eligible to submit a design for the contest.
- The selected artist will receive the total funds after the successful completion of the final project.
- The board is particularly interested in submissions that include words like "success", "advice", "future", and so forth, though all submissions will receive equal consideration.
- All media are welcome, including but not limited to paint, wood, metals, or a combination of media.
- Second round designs must include a budget; material costs will be paid for by SMCC.
- The review board reserves the right to adjust or change the final designs.
- No late submissions will be accepted.
